I am ready for Twenty Sixteen! This Friday is my thirteenth wedding anniversary. When I look back over the years, I realize that my husband and I have been through so much. While we were not dating during September 11th, we knew each other. We were co-workers. Since we knew each other, we do talk about where we were that day. We knew the same people at the time, so we could share our stories. We actually started dating a few months after September 11th.
We have been through so much. We have lived in three different states too. We tried setting down roots but due to the economy, we lost our house. Hopefully one day, we can try setting roots down again. It would be nice to have a place to call home and not worry about renewing a lease. It would be nice to have a little yard for our son to play in. I would love a yard where we can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air.
Twenty fifteen was a change for us. I went back to being a stay at home mom, which gave me the time to devote to my blog again. My husband went back to work full time. It was a stressful and difficult year for me because I am still paying the majority of the household bills. My husband and I have separate bank accounts because he wants it that way. With that, I do pay our bills with the earnings I make with my blog. With the bills taking a toll on me, it really affected my motivation to exercise. I fell into a mild depression.
With the New Year upon us, I am ready for a new beginning. I need to get back on track with fitness. I want to walk and jog more. I can either walk outside or use my treadmill. I also have my compact strider. Either way, I need to get active again. I have a FitBit Zip that I should use more. I should be challenging myself to walk!
When I look back a few years ago, I was doing several cardio workout programs! Back then, my motivation and energy were through the roof! I hope to work my way back up to that again! For now, I just want to work on walking and jogging more. I don’t have a lot of space in our living room, so I need to at least use the treadmill.
